"Certainly, not the typical commute! But here's how it happened...
After graduating from Art Center in Pasadena, CA, Hallmark Cards brought me from by West Coast upbringing to the heart of America. I worked at the social expression giant for 5 years, then opened my first studio in KC. That is if you don't count the basement studio I had in school where I did score a few cool projects for clients like AMC Records! But I digress.
Hallmark proved to be an excellent place to hone my skills right as creative digital tools were emerging on the photography world. Initially, I designed, art directed, and photographed my projects, then oversaw the retouching by Hallmarks digital techs. Eventually, programs like Photoshop put the tools right on my own desktop. That unleashed the possibilities even farther! I had always strove for perfection in my studio work, and this was a natural tool for me to implement.
Our studio hit the ground running in Kansas City's fertile advertising market. We produced fun projects for great agencies and great clients. But my boyhood home of Seattle was calling. So, we pack up the studio and headed West. Once in Seattle, I developed great clients and friends in that market too. But KC clients were still contacting me. So I found myself traveling between cities
Then it hit me. I'll work as a local in two towns! And so it is..."
